**Please note: this is a part-time/causal position, averaging approximately 20 hours per week.**
**About the Organization**
Local Engineering Ltd. is an Alberta based engineering services provider supporting a select group of recurring clients. Local’s unique approach is to develop a long-term relationship with our clients, becoming the “owner’s engineer” and prioritizing client needs. We have a wide-ranging and diverse client base to help stabilize our workload when some markets are in a downturn. The quickly growing Local Engineering team is small but nimble, with a one-of-a-kind collaborative team environment.
**Job Summary**
**Education & Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Postsecondary education in Administration / Information or Document Management from a recognized Canadian institution would strongly be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with technical drawings would be considered an asset.
- Experience with administration or document management in an engineering consulting and/or professional services environment would be considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence.
**Responsibilities**
- Assisting Local Engineering’s document control team with documentation including receiving, issuing, tracking and maintaining drawings, administering revision numbers and databases.
- Organize active project documents and archive completed project documents as well as maintaining corresponding document control logs.
- Review and edit document packages to ensure consistency of nomenclature and formatting.
- Responsible for documentation quality including identifying gaps as well as maintaining accuracy, formatting, and spelling.
- Communicate, coordinate and escalate issues with documents to DC lead as required to maintain project timelines and efficiency.
- Administrative activities and other project support as required, such as but not limited to filing hardcopy and electronic documentation, scanning documents, generating documents / spreadsheets / letters, etc.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and quality.

**Position Conditions**
- Job is typically performed in an office environment.
- Site travel may be required depending on the project.
