Respond to internal and external document‑related queries, providing clear guidance on document control standards, processes and best practices. Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing documentation to confirm alignment with templates, naming conventions and project standards. Safeguard version integrity by tracking revisions, managing superseded documents and supporting document‑related audits as required. Pivot quickly between priorities and projects, pausing work on one assignment and transitioning seamlessly to another as project needs evolve. Provide mentorship and day‑to‑day guidance to junior document controllers or project team members, helping to elevate document control practices across the portfolio. The Skills That Set You Apart You’ll bring many of the following strengths to the team: 5–10+ years of hands‑on document control experience in engineering, EPC/EPCM, construction or closely related industries, supporting both smaller jobs and large, complex capital projects. A proven track record managing document control for multidiscipline engineering environments (for example mining, oil & gas, power, infrastructure), with an understanding of how different teams use and rely on documentation. Strong proficiency with document management systems such as InEight, Aconex, SharePoint and BIM 360, including setting up workspaces, workflows and permissions. Deep understanding of document workflows, transmittals, revision control and industry documentation standards, with the ability to tailor processes to client‑specific requirements (e.g., Shell, TC Energy, Pembina, Cenovus, Atco). Exceptional attention to detail, organization and accuracy, with a focus on getting the right information to the right people at the right time. Comfort working fully remotely with minimal supervision, while maintaining proactive communication with project managers and engineering teams. Agility to juggle multiple priorities and switch tasks rapidly in response to shifting project demands and deadlines. Experience mentoring or coaching other document control professionals or project coordinators (an asset).
