**Office Clerk - Technical Services**:
**(Full Time)**
The qathet Regional District (qRD) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Office Clerk - Technical Services to join our team in the Asset Management & Strategic Initiatives Department. Reporting to the Manager of Technical Services, the Office Clerk will provide administrative support to the department and will work extensively with other qRD departments to help us carry out our Asset Management Program and Capital Project deliverables.
**The role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities including**:
- Assisting with researching and compiling historical data about our assets;
- Entering financial related data into our asset management software;
- Creating and maintaining various asset management related spreadsheets;
- Contributing to developing and maintaining infrastructure information records;
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure ongoing asset management activities are properly tracked and documented;
- Performing basic procurement and contract administrative tasks;
- Providing administrative and financial support services regarding internal project management functions associated with Capital Project Delivery Services; and
- Providing administrative support services regarding the function of Advisory Committee(s) as assigned.
**Qualifications / Requirements**
Preferred:
- Advanced experience and proficiency in providing Administrative Professionals' core support services and is knowledgeable of bookkeeping and financial processes and procedures;
- Training or related experience pertaining to Asset Management;
- Training or related experience pertaining to basic procurement practices;
- The ability to adapt to new technology and readily acquire new technical skills;
- Good command of written English; and
- Possess a post-secondary education in business administration, financial or accounting, office administration, or relevant field, (or has completed related courses) and has a minimum of two years' equivalent combined office/financial/technical experience.
**Required**:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent;
- Accredited computer training in Microsoft office or related experience;
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills;
