**Summary of Duties**:
Reporting to the Director, Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression, the Manager, Strategic Programs and Partnerships plays a key leadership and coordination role within a team of equity-focused advisors and is responsible for overseeing strategic policies, plans, project initiatives and community-based engagement activities to advance the City of London’s goals to dismantle racism and oppression experienced by newcomers, immigrants and other equity denied groups in London.

This bilingual (English-French) role combines project management, strategic planning, and community engagement with high-level administrative and coordination duties to ensure effective implementation of policies and programs that address systemic inequities, with a focus on newcomers and immigrants.

**Work Performed**:

- Provide strategic leadership in the development, coordination and delivery of newcomer and immigrant services that contribute to advancing the shared initiatives, priorities and reports to meet Council’s Strategic Plan.
- Initiate and develop proposals for newcomer and immigrant services and related initiatives.
- Oversee strategic projects and partnerships led by or in collaboration with the advisors, and other special initiatives to ensure accountability to division wide goals and outcomes.
- Manage the development, budgets, and strategic services of business contracts, contracted service agreements with key community agencies, other sector lead individuals and organizations.
- Leverage strong leadership skills to guide the service delivery philosophy, program delivery culture, and service system outcome measures.
- Facilitate the engagement of community members, organizations, networks, and partner agencies in developing community based and collaborative service strategies.
- Advance the strengths of community agencies, partners, and the community’s capacity to support the strategic directions of Council and the development and implementation of new creative and collaborative approaches and business solutions in the assigned areas of responsibility.

- Demonstrate commitment to anti-racism, anti-oppression, and human rights through interactions with community partners, employees and individuals and implementation of policies, programs and protocols that reflect this commitment.
- Responsible for managing employees including hiring, coaching, administration, and performance aspects of reporting employees. Respond to sensitive and confidential human resource issues as required.
- Encourage and support employee participation and commitment to divisional and organizational objectives. Actively mentor, provide development opportunities and build team performance with direct reports.
- Build and support employee commitment to a high level of performance in all areas of customer service, employee safety and delivery of individual goals and objectives.
- Provide updates, information and recommendations to the Director, Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression on priorities with responsibility to operationalize identified goals and strategies.
- Provide input into new business plans, strategies, and opportunities for service efficiencies through creative approaches and use data collection and analytics to implement strategies to track performance measures.
- Engage and communicate effectively with senior leaders, Council, community sector leads, and with other orders of government in matters of service administration, management, and delivery.
- Maintain expertise and provide community-based resource support in related policy and service areas within provincial guidelines and directives.
- Conduct research and recommend the development of informed policies and plans based on best and emerging practices, environmental factors, strengths, gaps, competencies from relevant sectors and jurisdictions.
