**Your Role**:
Working within our wholly owned subsidiary Morcado Trust, this is a unique career opportunity at True North Mortgage spanning Real Estate, Mortgages and Investor Relations. You will be cultivating enduring connections, forging strong, lasting relationships with clients, investors, and stakeholders alike.
The Business Development - Investor Relations is a key individual contributor, working towards increasing sales, market penetration and market share in Western Canada. Reporting directly to the senior leadership, this role works collaboratively with the Investor Relations Leads, Communications and Operations to achieve significant sales targets.
**The Job**:
**In this developing role, you will be responsible for**:
**Primary Accountabilities**:

- Territory Management: Solicit and onboard investors for the purchase and sale of qualified syndicated mortgages offered on a non-wholesale basis to individual investors within defined Sales Territories.
- Client Service: Address the related needs of investors, ensuring orders are solicited from qualified investors, complying with suitability rules and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Target Achievement: Meet established weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales activity targets.
- Reporting and CRM: Submit weekly activity reports to Management and record sales activities using client relationship management software.
- Business Planning: Collaborate with the Operations/ Investor lead teams to execute an annual territory business plan focused on long-term investor growth relationships and driving sales results.
- Market Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of True North Mortgage, Qualified Syndicated Mortgage Offerings, market trends, and investor trends.
- Marketing Initiatives: Develop and implement an annual business plan with marketing initiatives, sales penetration goals, and a territory coverage plan.

**Additional Accountabilities**:

- Complies with all policies and procedures, work rules, and standard operating procedures.
- Safeguards the interests of our clients, the business, and our people.
- Completes other related duties as required.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Superior interpersonal, influencing, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize a diverse workload.
- High degree of personal and professional integrity, ethical, and credible.
- Ability to manage challenging workloads in an entrepreneurial environment and deliver results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

**Nice to Haves**:

- Experience in Investor Relations, Syndicated Mortgages or Financial Advisory Services.
- Registered Mortgage Broker or the ability to license as a Mortgage Broker.
- Analytically sales minded.
- Strong Communicator.
- Understanding of the Mortgage Investment ecosystem.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5-7 years of sales experience in the financial services industry is an asset.
