We are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Stinson Equipment.

Stinson is a full-service, traffic management and traffic safety company with three locations (Concord, Woodbridge, Gormley) in Ontario and has long been considered by those in the industry to be Ontario’s leader for traffic safety products and services. Over the past 60 years we have been proudly providing quality traffic management solutions to Ontario’s municipalities, construction, industrial, private, and public sectors.

You have:

- 2+ years of work in a similar role
- Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer service focused and willing to assist where needed to meet business needs
- Willing to learn all Operations support functions to provide backup and coverage as needed
- Knowledge of the Road Construction or Traffic Control industries a definite asset
- ERP understanding will be an asset

As a logistics coordinator you will:

- **Dispatch trucks** - With assistance from the Shipping team:

- Review upcoming shipments to determine most efficient routing
- Review upcoming shipments to determine which should travel our truck vs LTL
- Anticipate and proactively address issues/concerns and solve problems including on-site driver, client issues & escalate to management and/or sales as appropriate
- **Carrier selection** - With assistance from Shipping team:

- Choose the ideal carrier for each ship-out order
- Quote LTL & FTL shipments with at least 2, if not 3 carriers to ensure best option is chosen
- Evaluate rates _vs_ service successes & failures from recent history with carriers
- **Order preparation** - With assistance from Shipping / Packaging staff:

- Assist with order picking / packing for ship-out orders
- Direct shipping team for correct item selection & safe packaging for transit
- Ensure Shipping team can handle workload & alert management as assistance is required.
- Continuously update ‘client special requirements’ file with support from sales
- **Sales support** - With assistance from Shipping / Warehouse Manager:

- Act as liaison between sales / shipping / inventory to ensure requests are being fulfilled
- Quote upcoming shipments per sales & client request
- Follow up tracking details on LTL & small package shipments
- Assist with filing carrier claims for shipments incurring damages / loss / late deliveries
- Coordinate returns & ensure RMA paperwork is being fulfilled
