**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of SOCC and Planning, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing day-of operations and crew scheduling. Must be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and shifts during afternoons and nights, as dictated by service needs. The work environment is characterized by its fast pace, reliance on meeting deadlines, and constant change. Overtime may be necessary. Daily tasks include frequent sitting, typing, filing, phone work, and using standard office equipment.
**Primary Job Functions**:
- Supporting the Duty Officer throughout all operations
- Monitoring day-of operations flights and communicating any delays or changes to airport operations, dispatch, and maintenance as needed
- Handling inbound crew or ground operations calls into the Operations Centre
- Ensuring completion of all APIS and/or GENDEC transmissions as necessary
- Coordinating changes in in-flight services (such as catering) on a per-flight basis
- Investigating and following up with stations and flight crews to ensure accurate coding of delays for all flights
- Assisting in coordinating and arranging ad hoc charter flights, including ground handling and airport PPRs
- Completing Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Operation Coordinator checklists
- Reviewing all Captain reports for issues and comments and ensuring accurate recording of OTP delays
- Updating operational software with correct aircraft tails and times, and ensuring communication of changes to other departments
- Completing required reports as assigned
- Performing other duties and assignments as necessary
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
- ** Education**: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- ** Experience**:
- ** Skills & Abilities**:
- Ability to effectively perform in a high-stress, deadline-driven, and dynamic work environment while prioritizing tasks and assignments
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is essential
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain organized workflow
- Strong communications skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills Ability to make informed decisions regarding scheduling and fulfilling customer requirements for charters and other flights
