Medical Office Assistant/admin

Chinook Cardiology, situated in Lethbridge, Alberta, is a cardiology clinic and echocardiography laboratory. We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Office Assistant/Admin person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, booking medical appointments, front reception/checking patients in and out for appointments, organizing, scheduling, filing, collecting patient history and information, interacting with and assisting patients during clinical hours and providing administrative support both to the Office Manager and Cardiologists. This position is ideal for those pursuing a challenging and rewarding career in the medical field. *NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE.
**Position Accountabilities**
- Ability to adapt and work within a fast-paced environment, capable of prioritizing and completing many assignments and tasks
- Checking patients’ demographic particulars to ensure accuracy
- Interaction with patients, scheduling appointments
- Excellent communication skills with coworkers, patients and physicians
- Understanding and adherence to all applicable privacy and confidentiality laws and regulations
**Position Requirements**
- Grade 12 Education (Administrative Diploma may be considered an asset)
- COVID-19 vaccination, required
- Medical terminology or equivalent experience is an asset
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in Healthcare, an asset;
- Certification of: CPR, BLS and advanced BLS, Workplace Safety, an asset:
- Superior attention to detail; ensuring clerical accuracy is met when recording information;
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills and work ethic;
- Willingness to learn, excel and achieve personal goals.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
