Project Manager Residential

QMC Metering Solutions is a leading utility sub-metering systems supplier and integrator. We provide intelligent meter systems, service and web-based monitoring to the commercial, institutional and multi-residential market. Our systems are used for the allocation of utility usage, to facilitate energy management programs and sustainability initiatives. With offices across Canada, QMC helps building owners and occupants conserve energy and save money through the sub-metering, billing and cost allocation of a building's utilities: electric, water, thermal energy and gas.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a Residential or Commercial background. We have a broad range of projects with key partners in engineering, construction, utilities and property management.

Specifically, the Project Manager will:

- Implement an agreed action plan to the appropriate standards and deadlines
- Scheduling of internal project Kick-off meeting with all relevant departments as needed
- Manage client expectations and project timelines
- Manage contractors and full cycle of project management
- Ensure the effective preparation and delivery of all project events, meetings and documentation
- Follow up with clients when the project installation is complete, schedule verifications, proceed with closing documents, and follow up with client as required.
- Responsible for effective flow of information between team members and stakeholders
- Evaluate ongoing work order/project activity and report on progress/deficiencies
- Compile work packages for the service teams to review and execute
- Co-ordinate and schedule technicians onsite for verification
- Work with our Health and Safety Office to ensure our technicians are working in conditions in accordance with our health and safety policies and procedures
- Track progress, deficiencies and ensure on-time delivery of critical milestones
- Provide hr responses to inquiries from team members, subcontractors and clients
- Manage conflicting priorities
- Responsible for administrative duties appropriate and necessary for smooth project implementation
- Co-ordinate incoming requests from our clients and other departments
- Update and manage information workflows in our CRM
- Communicate with project accountant on any invoicing required throughout the project
- Upon project close out, complete all labor and revenue reporting in CRM and ensure all project documents/files are uploaded to Project Folders in designated locations. Complete Project Debrief to evaluate project profitability and document take aways for future project.
- Schedule Close Out meeting with division leads
- Provide outstanding customer service with internal and external customers
- Maintain a professional image and demeanor with team members and stakeholders

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in residential, commercial electrical or mechanical systems or equivalent education
- Familiarity with metering equipment and communication systems
- Experience in a Quality Assurance environment
- Valid Ontario Drivers’ License and vehicle
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to identify, plan, organize, prioritize in a timely manner
- Demonstrated ability to work within a dynamic project environment with changing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be fluent in English
- Highly skilled in a Windows Office environment, knowledge of MS Project, Sharepoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, a must
- Experience with CRM software an asset
- Engineering degree is an asset (electrical or mechanical)
- Certified CAPM or PMP designation is an asset
