**Languages**:
English - must be proficient in oral & written communications in English

**Education**:
Graduated from a recognized Interior Design Diploma or bachelor’s Degree program in Canada or Construction Management program or experience in equivalent role.

**Work Experience**: Minimum five years direct industry experience at an interior design firm, architecture firm, residential construction management or equivalent and recent AutoCAD experience.

We need someone well rounded in all aspects of interior design and experienced with residential construction to join our team. You will be the main contact for the contractors and clients during the construction phase, meet with contractors and trades on site and ensure that the design details in our plans, elevations and specifications are being implemented correctly and within our high-quality standards. You will be responsible for providing us with detailed notes and summaries of the site meetings and suggesting solutions to possible issues.

You must be able to read and understand full working drawings for renovations and custom millwork including construction plans and detailed elevations and discuss with the contractors, trades and installers.

Your own vehicle is mandatory to attend site meetings to meet with clients and trades throughout the GTA. You may be required to pick up samples and product for clients.

You must be able to communicate confidently and professionally with both trades and clients within a timely manner.

This is a contract position working for our company with full time hours within the hours of 9 - 5 Monday to Friday. You must have own HST number and will be responsible for tracking your time spent on each task per project invoicing for your time on a biweekly basis.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Be able to take a building project from concept to completion and know what all the steps are in between.
- Take initiative to reach out to team members and industry leaders to find solutions to problems that you encounter.
- Be the point person for multiple projects at a time.
- Possess knowledge of space planning, construction techniques, building code & zoning ordinances
- Be familiar with custom cabinetry design, construction & installation
- Act as a bridge between interior designers, vendors, contractors and clients
- Be detail oriented to notice and record deficiencies on site
- Have professional demeanor when interacting with clients and trades
- Create accurate scopes of work for contractor reference
- Manage project construction schedule and coordinate with sub-trades to meet deadlines
- Adept at managing different personality types, between various contractors, engineers and sub-trades
- Be organized, a construction site is always changing. You need to be able to coordinate the day’s events as well as planning for tomorrow

**Work Location information**:

- Remotely or on site within the GTA
- Site meetings with clients and designers
- Site supervision within the GTA
- Regular team working days at Castlefield & Dufferin area

Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
