**Clinical Lead**

We are a dedicated mental health and addictions treatment agency looking for a **Clinical Lead** to support our team. The Clinical Lead ensures high-quality clinical oversight, fosters professional development, and ensures the delivery of exceptional services to our clients. The Clinical Lead also provides one-to-one counselling approximately 20% of the time. **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Clinical Oversight**: Provide guidance and clinical supervision to staff engaged in clinical practice, including assessments, treatment planning, and group therapy.
- **Supervision and Support**: Provide clinical guidance to team including: consultation, clinical direction, clinical discipline, and professional development. Work closely with Clinical Supervisory Committee to implement suggestions for training, guidance, and oversight. Facilitate Group supervision.
- **Scheduling and Coverage**: Oversee employee schedules and assist in maintaining appropriate coverage for clinical staff during absences.
- **Training and Competency**: Ensure staff are trained, competent, and adhere to PRC’s policies and procedures. Provide training where necessary to meet professional standards of practice, including timekeeping and documentation.
- **External Referrals**: Build and maintain good relationships with community supports and work with clinicians to make appropriate referrals to outside agencies as required.
- **Ethical and Legal Standards**: Ensure all clinical services are delivered in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- **Staff Performance**: Monitor and evaluate the performance of clinical staff and complete regular performance reviews.
- **Program Evaluation**: Work closely with Clinical Supervisory Committee to evaluate and assess clinical programs to ensure they meet the agency’s goals, are evidence-based, and align with current best-practices.
- **Budgeting and Financial Management**: Assist with budgeting and financial management for clinical programming and services.
- **Ongoing Development**: Engage in ongoing professional development and research regarding evidence-based practices in addictions treatment.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education & Experience**: BSW (MSW preferred). At least 5 years of experience in clinical practice, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- **Skills & Expertise**: Extensive knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health and addictions treatment. Strong supervisory, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- **Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff, clients, and community partners.
- **Ethical and Legal Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of ethical and legal standards in clinical practice and the ability to model these for staff.
