Operations Warehouse Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated _**Operations Warehouse Manager**_ passionate about logistics and supply chain operations and having proven capability within this field to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and transportation teams. As the Operations Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective storage and distribution of goods and leading employees to ensure we deliver on our commitment to provide a “world class customer service” experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

- Develop and implement strategies that maximize productivity, efficiency, communication, teamwork, and personal growth, creating a culture of recognition and reward to promote staff retention
- Perform all day-to-day management of the Warehouse department and personnel. Develop, and maintain an effective department of 30-50 employees, through ongoing recruitment, training, and assignment of personnel schedule.
- Manage and support Warehouse employees including the efficient operation of order picking, checking product for quality and accuracy, filling shorts, loading, and shipping of product and inventory counts.
- Manage all functions of quality control, sanitation, and stock rotation.
- Responsible for coordinating and scheduling the timely shipping of products according to customer requirements. Coordinate with Supervisors for the daily planning and execution of Warehouse operations across multiple shifts.
- Practice and teach safety on the job as well as work in unison with the Safety Committee to comply with Islands West’s Safety Policies.
- Maintain an awareness of par levels of product and notifies Buyers immediately of any par levels concerns being low stock or slow movement of.
- Be knowledgeable of Warehouse KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) to ensure departmental goals are achieved.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be available for opening shift with a 4:00 am start time.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, (including evenings and weekends, as required) for 40+ hours/week.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

- A minimum of 3 years’ previous leadership experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years previous of operations management and warehouse management experience
- Proven experience leading and implementing process improvements
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products, mainly excel.
- Proficient with Warehouse Management System.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, direct and train 30-50 staff.
- Ability to safely bend, twist and lift to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
- Maintains forklift and power jack certification. (Islands West to Provide)
