**The Job: Welding Inspector CSA Level 2 or AWS CWI**

As a Welding Inspector at MC3 Manufacturing, you'll play a crucial role in upholding the quality and reliability of our welding processes. Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting visual and non-destructive inspections of welded components to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Performing welder qualification tests and maintaining accurate records of inspection results.
- Collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve any welding-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Providing guidance and training to welding personnel on quality standards and best practices.
- Participating in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes and product quality.
- The inspector will be required to work on a welding table when no inspections are needed.

**Qualifications**:

- **Certification**: CSA W178.2 Level 2 or AWS CWI with at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, repair, or operating facility that involves welding.
- **Knowledge**: Possess a strong understanding of welding processes, codes, and standards (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX).
- Advanced knowledge of welding processes, layout and fitting, base metals, filler metals, heat treatment, welding metallurgy, weld testing, and fabrication planning is required.
- Good knowledge of the weldability of ASME P-No. 1, 3, 4, 5A, and 8 base metals (carbon steels, alloy steels, and austenitic stainless steels) is required.
- Some knowledge of the weldability of P-No. 6 and 10H (ferritic, martensitic, and duplex stainless steels) would be an advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of welding inspection and related NDE methods (MT, PT, UT, and RT), including ASME Sec. V, are required.
- Knowledge of W47.1 and W59 standards.
- **Analytical Skills**: Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications and conducting weld quality assessments.
- **Communication**: Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders verbally and in writing to convey inspection findings and recommendations.
- **Team Player**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and drive continuous improvement in welding operations.
