Title: Receiving Supervisor

Reports to: Receiving Manager

Based at: Mucci Pac Ltd., Kingsville, Ontario

Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6-days a week, steady day or afternoon shift rotating shifts (days and afternoons), and potentially extended hours depending on workload and priorities, which could include possible Sunday shifts (unless stipulated otherwise in offer of employment).

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing all receiving activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments
  • Lead and direct shipping team to ensure customer orders are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Lead and direct receiving team to ensure orders are received and properly scanned into warehouse location
  • Coordinates shift scheduling and staff balancing to meet business requirements
  • Establish open lines of communications with Logistics, Production and Commodities to ensure the availability of product to fill orders
  • Responsible for training new employees and motivating current employees
  • Establish mid- and long-term process improvement plans
  • Reports departmental KPI's monthly to Senior Management, identifying areas of improvement

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Completion of High School/GED or equivalent is required
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a receiving supervisor or leadership role is required
  • Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management
  • Previous experience with dry goods is strongly preferred
  • Forklift license is required
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to multitask and change priorities based on business needs
  • Proven time management skills with emphasis on meeting deadlines
  • Highly energetic and assertive with strong leadership skills
  • Previous experience in leading and supervising a team
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, (verbal and written) with all levels of the organization in English
  • Previous experience with Famous software would be an asset
  • Experience with MS (Excel) office skills

Physical Abilities:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
  • Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
  • Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time
  • Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F

Hourly Rate for this position: $20.00/hr. - $21.50/hr.
