**Working Hours**:
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Occasional overtime may be required based on office needs.

**Vacation and Time Off**:

- Paid Time Off (PTO): 2 weeks a year or standard 4% vacation pay

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet patients in a warm and professional manner, and assist them with the check-in process at the front desk
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries professionally and promptly
- Maintain and update patient records accurately using medical record systems such as Accuro and Powerchart
- Assist with equipment sterilization
- Coordinate and book OR dates and procedures
- Assist in managing surgical waiting lists
- Triage and register incoming referrals
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence with referring clinics, including medical results
- Process patient information, verify healthcare/insurance/billing information, and ensure all documentation is up to date at check-in
- Coordinate with medical staff and physicians to ensure effective communication and patient flow.
- Perform general office duties including filing, faxing, data entry, and inventory management of office supplies
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Provide backup coverage for clinical and administrative support

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working in a surgical practice and booking surgeries is strongly preferred
- Completion of MOA training program is an asset
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Proficiency in medical office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems (experience with Accuro and Powerchart is a plus)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient information and scheduling
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while being self-motivated.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Experience with administrative duties including managing phone systems and front desk operations.
- Experience with insurance verification and medical billing is preferred.
