**ADMIN ASSISTANT FOR HUMANITY**

We need an active, energetic Admin Assistant to perform a variety of physical and clerical tasks in a small but growing company in New Westminster, near Skytrain. We are a manufacturer of custom-made items for children and adults with disabilities, and a seller of wheelchairs and a wide variety of personal healthcare equipment.
We need an energetic and confident team member with good communication and people skills, willing to help out with basic operational assistance. For the right person, we can also offer an opportunity to learn about our clients, medical prescribers, techniques, processes and special custom devices that we make. The medical equipment industry is rapidly changing, and we need dynamic people to help us grow
**MINIMUM CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS**
Good health and physical fitness.
Energy to act quickly to complete tasks.
Clear English language proficiency in speech and writing.
Excellent typing and computer skills.
Citizenship or valid work permit.
Current residence in Vancouver or Lower Mainland.
Valid driver’s license.
**INITIAL DUTIES, (training provided)**:
- cleaning and maintenance of showroom and shop areas
- shipping and receiving
- forklift operation
- mechanical assembly / adjustment of medical equipment
- fabrication of small parts and assemblies
- assistance with construction and finishing of custom projects
- pickup and delivery in company vehicle
- onsite assistance with client projects
- paperflow processing
**FURTHER POTENTIAL TRAINING FOR RIGHT PERSON**:
- liaise with medical prescribers and industry reps
- specification of special equipment for clients
- modifications and design of custom equipment
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- keyboard and computer skills
- attention to detail
- quick learner
- good with numbers and technical details
- technical aptitude
- ability to work quickly to meet deadlines
- willing to learn about healthcare equipment business
- multitasking and organizational skills
- flexibility to help where needed in small company
- compassion for individuals and families with disabilities
- creativity, and a sense of humor and adventure
**REMUNERATION**:
- $45k to 52k to start, depending on skills and experience
- health plan after three months
- full-time, Monday to Friday, daytime
