As a Platform Specialist - Integrations, you will play a crucial role in our Software Engineering Group, collaborating with globally distributed teams, including business representatives, business analysts, architects, and engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement solutions. We embrace a culture challenging the status quo and constantly looking to simplify processes, technology, and workflow.
What you'll do- Review software requirements efficiently to ensure we meet our high standards.- Build architectural diagrams and design documents that outline flawless solutions.- Design screens, business rules, and workflow changes to streamline processes.- Write programs, configure, package, and deploy software to meet our clients' needs.- Establish and follow coding standards to maintain consistency and quality.- Enforce patterns that ensure our solutions are robust and scalable.- Provide industry SME knowledge to improve our team's capabilities.- Debug and unit test code to ensure it meets our strict quality criteria.- Perform peer code reviews to foster a collaborative and learning environment.- Mentor junior resources to nurture the next generation of talent.
What you'll bring- A Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.- Over 5 years’ experience in API Application Development.- Proven experience integrating Guidewire PC/BC/CC/CM and downstream systems.- Expertise in Java, configuration, and coding using tools and accelerators, knowledge of Guidewire Batch, and real-time integrations.- Ability to read code in other languages and reverse engineer products.- Solid experience in Agile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.- Domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance and Broker Connectivity.- Over 5 years of experience in API design and development, and coding RESTful APIs.- Proficient in multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, etc.- Extensive experience with relational databases and SQL, specifically MS SQL Server & Transact SQL.- In-depth understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development.
