**Your Opportunity**

An opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join our team in the Dartmouth office as a Quality Assurance Painting Inspector.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- Complete in-process and final visual inspections of all blasting and coating operations to ensure compliance on surface preparation and coating as per standard.
- Perform testing on surface profile, salt content, coating thickness, adhesion.
- Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and serviceable.
- Ensure the contractor’s materials are stored and handled according to manufacturer’s requirements.
- Generate and maintain quality records in support of the inspection and test plan.
- Read and interpret production drawings and specifications to identify quality requirements.
- Document non-conformances in the NCR database and complete root cause analysis.

**Qualifications**

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
- An understanding of different types of coatings, surface preparation methods, spray paint methods, standards and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office 365, MS Teams and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of airless spray guns, spray equipment, and other surface preparation and coating tools. Full understanding and able to perform destructive and nondestructive testing.
- Attention to details is required, ability to perform precise measurements and visual inspections.
- Social Process Skills - required skills for effective working relationships.
- Strong communication skills to interact with applicators, trades employees, and co-workers.
- Strong relationship management skills and ability to deal with conflict.

**Education and Experience**
- Completion of some College / CEGEP / Vocational or Technical Training.
