Queens Landing is seeking a Part time Cook 2

This is a great opportunity that can provide flexibility, valuable work experience, and a chance to work with a tenured team.

What you’ll be doing:

- Prepares and cooks items for breakfast buffet and the lunch a la carte menu.
- Sets up line for the lunch buffet when required and cooks all menu items on a daily basis.
- Work in and maintain a clean environment.
- Follow Lais Hotel Properties’ standards for food preparation.
- Assists in the preparation of stocks and soups as required under the direction of the Executive Sous Chef.
- All other duties as assigned.

**What you'll bring to the role**:

- Technical/Managerial/Administrative Requirements:

- Basic knowledge of WHMIS is considered an asset.
- Standard first aid is considered an asset.
- Ability to work under mínimal supervision.
- Understand and practice of safe food handling.
- Professional Requirements:

- Grade 12 or equivalent experience.
- Theoretical training at a community college in a cook apprenticeship program for one year and 6000 hours of in-house on-the-job training under certified Chef or equivalent experience of 3-5 years.
- Excellent eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills for cutting, chopping and arrangement of meals on plate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Current Safe Food Handler’s Certificate.
- Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset.
- Basic literary skills.
