Payroll Specialist

The CFW Group, a privately owned boutique collection of restaurant brands in BC, Ontario, and California is looking for a **PCP certified Payroll Specialist** in our downtown Vancouver office.
**The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the supervision and coordination of payroll processing operations.**
**Role & Responsibilities**:
- Ensure accurate bi-weekly calculation & processing of wages, bonuses, vacation pay, sick pay, disability pay, and workers compensation leave pay, and company deductions for all required CFW entities (3 in Ontario, 3 in BC and 2 in California).
- Prepares all payroll related statutory filings such as tax withholdings, WSIB, WCB, ROE’s, etc.
- Provides training to team on policies, regulations, and processes.
- Responsible for dealing with payroll related complaints and error resolution.
- Responsible for benefits administration for all CFW Group employees.
- Ensures all payroll related journal entries are entered into accounting system within communicated timelines.
- Maintain employee payroll records up-to-date and accurate.
- Follow and enforce payroll regulations.
- Develop best practices to improve efficiency of payroll processes.
- Develop/Assist in implementation of new systems/software and/or processes.
- Create various reports using ADP reporting for informational/auditing purposes.
- Assist in leading payroll migration from ADP to PUSH.
**Skills Required**:
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Proven time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks while minimizing distractions.
- PCP Certification required
