**Job Title**: HR Generalist

**Department**: Human Resources
**Reports To**: HR Director
**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Employee Relations**:
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, concerns, or issues.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters and resolve conflicts in a timely manner while working with the appropriate unions at each site.
- Promote a positive work culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives and activities.
- Participate in employee relation matters including investigations
- **Compliance & Policies**:
- Ensure compliance with our 3 collective agreements.
- Administer and communicate company policies and procedures, ensuring all employees are informed and understand expectations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- **Performance Management**:
- Support managers in implementing performance management processes, including evaluations, feedback sessions, and goal setting.
- Assist in the development of performance improvement plans and provide coaching on employee development.
- Track employee performance trends and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- **Training & Development**:
- Support the identification of training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives.
- Organize and implement employee training programs, workshops, and seminars.
- Assist in career development planning and provide guidance on employee growth opportunities.
- **HR Administration**:
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Process payroll information and assist with compensation-related inquiries.
- **Health & Safety**:
- Promote workplace health and safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Assist in accident reporting and the implementation of safety programs.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
- In-depth knowledge of HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems preferred.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
- UKG Pro
