**Responsibilities**:
**Estimating & Technical Duties**:
- Review project specifications, drawings, and bid documents to determine scope and requirements.
- Estimate costs for electrical and building automation systems, including materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing.
- Develop and submit competitive bids, proposals, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technical teams to develop project budgets and timelines.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value-engineering solutions.
- Work with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends, products, and technologies.
- Support project handovers by providing clear and organized cost documentation.
**Sales & Business Development Duties**:
- Partner with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities in building automation and controls.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and site visits to understand needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, consultants, and facility managers.
- Collaborate on proposals and sales strategies to improve win rates and expand market share.
- Follow up with prospects and clients to track opportunities, provide clarifications, and close deals.
- Represent Atlas Automation at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand presence.
**Qualifications**:
**Experience**:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in estimating for electrical and/or building automation projects.
- Prior exposure to sales, business development, or customer-facing roles in construction/automation is an asset.
**Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience.
**Technical Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and automation technologies.
- Familiarity with Honeywell Building Automation Systems and Niagara N4 (preferred).
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
**Soft Skills**:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong relationship-building and client-facing skills.
- Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to both technical and sales success.
