What You'll Do:

  • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on Mining Equipment including onboard PLC's / Protection and Control / HMI equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on Material Handling and Hoisting equipment.
  • Assist electricians in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of underground electrical control systems.
  • Create and modify of project work packages including procedures, commissioning lists, bills of materials, and training documents.
  • Work with equipment with voltage ratings up to 25KV.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to achieve goals.
  • Participate in using and promoting the safety systems in place.
  • Work on a 5-5-4 schedule, includes working days and weekends.
  • Work in an underground setting.

What You'll Bring:

  • Accredited Electrical Engineering Technologist, Instrumentation Engineering Technologist, Electronics Sytems Engineering Technologist or similar accredited diploma (Requirement), will consider Electrical Engineer.
  • Experience in heavy industry, in particular underground mining, is an asset.
  • Skilled in Allen-Bradley and Schneider PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in RS Studio, FactoryTalk SE/ME, Unity, CodeSys.
  • Familiar with Protection Relays and Control Devices.
  • Familiar with industrial networking including Cat5e, switching, and industrial protocols (MODBUS, CIP, ETH/IP).
  • Experience in fiber optics, L3 routing, wireless, Cisco IOS programming an asset.
  • Familiar and able to work safe in an Industrial Environment.
  • Ability to communicate with multidisciplinary group in a complex production environment.
