**Role**:
The **International Buyer/Planner** will be responsible for overseeing the performance and execution of our approved strategic supply chain vendors in China and Europe. A normal day would consist of reviewing and adjusting our MRP with our analysts so you can produce purchase order’s as well as follow up the supplier commitments to ensure our MRP dates and production/inventory needs are satisfied. This includes participating in daily meetings with production and your colleagues to manage urgencies as well as coordinating with logistics. You’ll also be responsible to contribute to our team by suggesting inventory levels, adjusting to forecast or supply demands, while ensuring the suppliers are aligned and performing to expectations. As with any buyer, driving down costs is always part of the job Due to the international nature of this job, there will be off-hour responsibilities as well as potential travel.

**Outcomes of this role**:

- Strong relationships and synergies with your suppliers
- Optimized MRP integrity (PO dates, Lead Times, Min/Max, EBQ) to publish trustworthy data to streamline production planning
- Improve the company’s overall ability to produce more through better material management of your commodities through your vendors
- Increase profitability of the company through cost reductions, inventory planning, consolidated shipments and general improved productivity

**Other stuff we look for**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field (APICS certification is an asset)
- 5 years’ experience of pertinent experience in a comparable environment
- Detail oriented and excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Excel
- Proficient in ERP/MRP (Syspro is an asset)
