**Job Title**:Buyer

**Role Definition**:
The Buyer will place purchase orders, ensure accurate quantities and dates in our ERP system, expedite purchase orders, negotiate prices, and send materials out for RFQ to various sources. This position requires strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.

**Responsibilities**
- Monitor Inventory levels
- Place Purchase Orders and follow up with suppliers to expedite delivery schedules
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships
- Negotiate prices and terms
- Maintain supplier database within ERP database and ensure dates are accurate at all times
- Coordinate with internal teams from Production, QA and Accounts payable to respond to supplier issues, and rush items to be purchased.
- Address pull-ins and push-outs
- Other related duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years’ in a buyer role
- Experience in the electronics industry an asset
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with MRP and ERP systems (Infor VISUAL is an added benefit)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; organized, analytical and detail-oriented
- Proficient PC skills

*Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Friday from 8:00am to 2:15pm.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $1.00 per year
