As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Manager, Operations you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of Purchasing and Operations professionals. **What You’ll Do**: **You’ll act with integrity to**: - Scan all mail and packages on receipt prior to delivery. - Assist with the physical asset verification of all Legislative Assembly offices, Members offices at the Legislative Assembly, and Constituency offices. - Verify merchandise, quantities, and descriptions on the purchase orders/requisitions. - Process routine paperwork and input details of various transactions into the ERP system. - Monitor and record asset information in the database during the movement of items by Assembly Moving & Set-Up Technicians to and from the surplus warehouse. - Process out-going metering for MPP and Legislative Assembly offices. - Reconcile monthly postage usage by Assembly Offices, Business Reply Mail, Returned Mail. - Support dry cleaning service as required. **You’ll support our collaboration as you**: - Answer general and/or specific questions about the Legislative Assembly offices and main building locations including delivery, pick-up of items, and replacement goods, and redirect queries to supervisor as appropriate. - Immediately report any suspicious items to security. - Performs other related activities as required. **How You Qualify**: **You demonstrate excellence through your**: - One year of community college training in transportation, warehousing, and inventory control and/or a combination of equivalent education and 2 years’ experience in a clerical/administrative role to maintain data inventories, physically check tags on assets, follow detailed procedures, check information for accuracy as it pertains to asset management within the branch and outside the Legislative Assembly. - Knowledge of receiving and warehouse operations to provide for the receipt and delivery of all incoming shipments, shipping services and maintenance of inventory and the knowledge of mail room procedures and operations (e.g. mail sorting and metering, procedures for registering mail, custom declarations and the recording, filing and processing of these activities). - Requires knowledge of Purchasing & Operations Branch's policy and procedures manual, administrative policies and asset policy manual. - Knowledge of the Legislative Assembly Precinct office locations for delivery of goods. - Thorough knowledge of the Canada Post Guide with knowledge and understanding of the Government’s mail system. **Here’s what awaits you**: - A dynamic, unique work environment - A team of dedicated professionals - A comprehensive benefit and pension package including a comprehensive short term sickness plan and personal days - Support for your career through training and development - Access to an employee and family assistance program If you’re ambitious, passionate, and ready to make your mark, seize the opportunity by selecting "" at the bottom of the page.
