We are looking to add additional talent to join our Toronto office. The Trademark Assistant will provide assistance to professionals primarily in the trademark and copy right areas of IP.

Experience:

  • One to two years relevant trademark working experience

  • Due date management, saving emails and electronic documents

  • Review client instructions and take appropriate action with the direction of the

professional

  • Replying to status checks on TM applications

  • Providing clients with cost estimates for TM applications, searches etc.

  • Sending and following up on invoices

  • Communication with clients and associates.

Qualifications:

  • Legal Assistant Diploma/Certificate or Law Clerk Degree

  • Familiarity with IP docketing and DMS software

  • Proven experience working in an electronic trademark environment

  • Strong working knowledge of legal software and standard MS Office software

(Word, Excel)

  • Proactive, problem-solving skills

  • Solid time management skills, able to work on assignments from multiple

professionals

  • Excellent attention to detail and work product presentation

  • Bilingual – French and English would be an asset.
