**Fleet Maintenance Supervisor - Winnipeg**

The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate and ensure basic fleet maintenance and leading continuous improvement and transportation safety initiatives are completed. This role works closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure industry regulation and compliance matters are met. This role also requires the supervision of our short haul/local courier dispatch team and our short haul/local courier fleet drivers.

**Your Role**:

- Inspection, maintenance, and coordination of truck and trailer components and systems in a safe and efficient manner.
- Organize & coordinate routine fleet vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in analyzing the drivers' practices and trucks usage regarding safe driving and maintenance, take corrective actions and make recommendations on changes, additions, and updates to vehicle use policies.
- Provide guidance and expertise to minimize operational losses, and incidents with drivers.
- Investigate and manage critical accidents/incidents and other safety events.
- Manage, monitor, coordinate in car/truck or web-based training.
- Support short haul dispatch operations, completing dispatch duties as needed & leading the team.
- Communicate daily with short haul fleet on corporate or individual matters, including safety meetings, discipline, infraction concerns, attendance scheduling/maintenance, worker injury, worker accommodation etc.
- Communicate/assist Logistics Manager with guidance/feedback on matters related to personnel, driver recruitment and performance feedback.

**Desired Skills Experience**:

- Mechanical background, preferably dealing with truck and trailer, engine and electrical experience an asset.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) required
- Experience communicating with drivers an asset.
- Experience developing, monitoring, and implementing training in a trucking or supply chain environment.
- Excellent problem-solving ability including the ability to recognize, assess, report and provide solutions.
- Keen attention to detail and established exemplary record keeping skills.
- A high level of initiative and commitment and the desire to continually improve.
- Knowledge of regulations and audit completion from agencies such as MPI - Manitoba, SGI - Saskatchewan, MTO - Ontario, Ministry of Transport, FMCSA (US DOT).
- Strong data analytical skills required.
- Proficient MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Hold valid Class 5 Driver's license. Class 1A an asset.
- Previous experience in Trucking/Transportation industry an asset.

**Salary**: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
