**Where you’ll work**

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you will work primarily from our Richmond Office with some flexibility to work from your home in B.C.

What you'll do
- Provide expert advice, guidance and direction to assigned staff and others on policies, business plans and operational matters relating to workforce planning and talent acquisition
- Create a supportive and healthy work environment including hiring, training, and assigning work to staff, while providing clear guidance and support. Lead performance management by setting expectations, offering feedback, and conducting regular reviews. Cultivate a positive environment where team members are empowered to excel and recruitment goals are consistently achieved.
- In partnership with marketing and the business, develop sourcing and recruitment strategies that meet the talent acquisition needs of the organization and develops a compelling employment brand for the organization to attract and retain top talent
- Partner with People and Culture to analyze the applicant tracking system and other tracking databases to identify and implement process, data integrity and compliance to ensure data analytics are available to drive workforce planning and talent acquisition. Monitor and report on talent acquisition metrics, leveraging data to inform decision-making and promote ongoing improvement.
- Partner with People & Culture to ensure successful Student Program, including coordinating strategic campus recruitment efforts, outreach initiatives, as well as participation in external events.
- Oversee relationships with external recruitment agencies, job boards, and recruitment-related vendors and platforms.
- Consistently models the appropriate level of organizational behaviours expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking.

Is this a good fit for you?

We’re looking for someone who can:

- Lead day-to-day operations of the talent acquisition function, including workload distribution, process efficiency, service level delivery, and operational troubleshooting. Provide leadership and direction to assigned staff; promote teamwork, provide coaching and create a supportive and healthy working environment
- Facilitate the integration of strategic workforce planning initiatives and maximize the organization’s brand
- Focus on the big picture; encourage and lead change and process improvement through creative problem-solving and strategic thinking

**Your background and experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in People and Culture, Marketing, Business or related field
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in talent acquisition
- Experience leading a team of Talent Acquisition and/or People & Culture professionals
- Experience working within a unionized environment an asset
- People and Culture certification is an asset
