Robotics Coach (Part-Time Contractor)

About Us:
Kavosh AI & Robotics Academy is an award-winning educational institute dedicated to training young innovators for international robotics competitions such as FIRA and RoboCup. Our students gain hands-on experience in STEM, AI, and robotics under the guidance of skilled coaches from the tech industry.

Position Summary:
This is a contractor role, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to coach competitive robotics teams preparing for FIRA and RoboCup events.

**Responsibilities**:

- Teach and coach students for robotics competitions (FIRA, RoboCup, etc.)
- Guide students in machine vision, image processing, and Python programming
- Support projects using LEGO Robotics kits, Raspberry Pi, and other platforms
- Introduce students to 3D design and mechanical modeling (Fusion, SolidWorks, or Inventor preferred)
- Manage class content and assist students with hands-on robot building and testing
- Attend workshops and demos to engage with parents and students
- Send class announcements and updates prior to each session
- Submit class reports after every session
- Provide personalized progress reports for each student after every 30 hours of instruction

Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of Python and image processing / machine vision
- Experience with 3D design tools (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Background in robotics, AI, or STEM education
- Previous participation in FIRA, RoboCup, or similar competitions is a strong asset
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage and motivate student teams
- English required; French is an asset

Schedule & Compensation:

- Part-time, flexible hours (3-24 teaching hours per week, depending on performance and demand)
- Contract-based role
- Hourly rate: $20-$50/hour (based on teaching quality and number of students)
- Location: Montreal
