Description
Under the supervision of the operational excellence supervisor, the method technician will be responsible for the technical writing of work instructions for the various manufacturing departments (assembly, welding, paint line, manufacturing, etc.). The mothod technician will visit the various work areas to analyze the production steps to be carried out and will illustrate these steps using the VKS (Virtual Knowledge System) software.
Role and responsibilities
- Create and maintain visual work instructions using the VKS software to ensure safe work methods and product quality
- Verify and validate the concordance of production documents (work order, drawing and work instruction)
- Integrate Lean concepts into standard work instructions
- Identify opportunities for improvement in terms of safety, quality and productivity, and provide realistic solutions.
- Train, coach and educate operations in the practice of good work practices and the use of VKS software
- Participate in problem solving activities with a multidisciplinary team aiming at quality, health, safety, productivity and maintenance of good practices;
- Act as a change agent and facilitator in the continuous improvement process
- All other related tasks that may pertain to the Method Technician position

Prerequisites
- Relevant experience in the field of sheet metal manufacturing and processes;
- Knowledge of VKS is an asset;
- Mastery of the Microsoft suite;
- Ability to adapt to a reactive and manufacturing environment;
- Enjoy teamwork and interpersonal relations as much as instructional writing;
- Demonstrate good communication skills and ability to adapt to different stakeholders;
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills;
- Advanced bilingualism, both spoken and written (French - English);
