In the office, we are dedicated to accuracy, efficiency and teamwork. Due to the nature of our business, we have a seasonal peak in the spring when work is more demanding, allowing for a more relaxed pace in the summer, fall and winter.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Data entry for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll by accurately recording employee timecards and deducting appropriate taxes and benefits. Prepare and submit payroll reports, including tax reports, to management. Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain and update the company's financial records by accurately recording financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This involves data entry into accounting software or spreadsheets, ensuring the timely and accurate recording of transactions.
Qualifications:
- A degree or certification in accounting or related field is preferred.
- 5+ years proven work experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Experience in payroll and tax guidelines
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to financial record-keeping and reporting.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
