Café Manager

**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. As the sole employee, you will beresponsible for all aspects of the café's functioning, a passion for exceptional customer service and a strong background in food and beverage management. As the Café Manager, ensure high standards of food preparation and service, and create a welcoming environment for our guests. Your leadership skills will be crucial in maintaining operational efficiency and fostering a positive workplace culture.

**Responsibilities**
- Preparation: Bake off pastries daily to ensure fresh offerings for customers.
- Flyer Distribution: Deliver promotional materials to nearby neighborhoods during slower periods to attract new customers.
- Signage Installation Assistance: Collaborate in the project of installing new signs for the café.
- Supply Pickup: Collect sandwiches from our supplier; personal transportation is required for this task.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization ofthe café to uphold health and safety standards.
- Cash Handling: Manage daily cash transactions, including opening andclosing registers, and ensure accurate cash-out procedures.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Utilize POS systems for efficient order processing and sales tracking.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a managerial role within the food service industry, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
- Ability to bake pastries; formal training is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage timeeffectively.
- Proficient in using POS systems for order management and reporting.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must have reliable personal transportation for supply pickups.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

**Working Hours**

8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Tuesday to Saturday

Pay: $21.50-$23.00 per hour
