Wendel's Bookstore & Café is located in historic Fort Langley since 1997. We are a high volume café serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, along with a large baked goods selection. All our food is made in house with high quality ingredients.

Join our friendly team at Wendel's Bookstore & Café — a busy, community-loved spot that takes pride in great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and high standards for cleanliness and safety. We're looking for a hardworking and reliable Dishwasher to support our back-of-house team and keep the café sparkling clean.

What You'll Do

· Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment

· Maintain cleanliness in all back-of-house work areas

· Mop floors and manage garbage, recycling, and compost stations

· Clean and sanitize washrooms throughout your shift

· Follow daily cleaning checklists to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met

· Assist with general kitchen organization and closing tasks as needed

· Work collaboratively with FOH & BOH teams in a fast-paced environment

Who You Are

· A team player with a positive attitude

· Able to stay focused and efficient during busy periods

· Comfortable working on your feet and lifting up to 40 lbs

· Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn

· Experience in a commercial kitchen an asset, but we're happy to train the right fit

Hours & Availability

· Full-time or part-time positions available

· Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends

We offer above average wages, tip pool with an equal split between all staff with an average of $ extra per hour worked, medical/dental benefits (35+ hours per week), paid breaks and job security with guaranteed hours.
