**Job Summary**
Woody’s RV World is looking for a dynamic and collaborative team player to join our Accounting and Payroll department as the People and Benefits Coordinator. This role reports to the Controller and CFO and provides support and leadership to the people, benefits, and payroll functions of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to meet deadlines efficiently and effectively
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft suite of programs including Excel and Word and familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). Specific experience with Workzoom is considered an asset
- Experience working with group health and insurance benefits administration and workers compensation (WCB)
**Role responsibilities include**:
- Successful onboarding and offboarding of employees in collaboration with department management
- Working with the CFO and Controller in the ongoing development of the internal Employee Handbook, and processes and procedures within the people services and payroll functions
- Administration of group health and insurance benefit changes and act as the primary contact with the group benefits provider. Involvement in the annual renewal, design and development of the group benefits package in collaboration with the CFO and Controller
- Support department managers concerning employees on or requiring disability or WCB leave. Respond to questions from employees related to disability or WCB leave and facilitate discussions between benefits providers or WCB and employees when necessary.
- Assist managers with WCB. Primary contact with WCB for all communication regarding claims
- Oversight payroll staff, review payroll processed by payroll administrator and process payroll in absence of staff member
- Administrator and oversight of Workzoom, the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), with ongoing development and refinement of system processes
- Filing and payment of WCB Alberta, WorkSafe BC, and BC Employer Health Tax annual and/or quarterly returns. Primary contact for all employer WCB and Health Tax matters
- Creation and development of payroll and benefits reporting used by senior leadership as decision making and information tools
- Review of ROE’s, T4’s, and other employee tax and service filings prepared by the payroll administrator
