**JOB SUMMARY**

**ROLE**
- Generate revenue that is sustainable in terms of margin through direct marketing, engaging customers through the full sales process (introduction to production launch and payment receipt) and negotiating each step in the sales process with prospects/clients and with peers inside ExCL
- In our industry, we need relationship builders because the entry barriers are quite high and the cost of customer acquisition is quite high; we can’t afford to lose customers
- Manage the inside sales functions of quoting, customer service progressively in collaboration with other departments who contribute to the customer facing activities (Production, Quality, Engineering)
- Generate a better customer experience through timely and accurate answers on pricing, delivery, quality, samples etc
- This requires the collaborative skills noted above as part of the dimensions.
- Advocate for new business opportunities with peers and colleagues as appropriate
- Establish goals for the organization in terms of new revenues and organize sales activities that secure those goals
- The vision is to grow, and the goals are steps along the journey
- Provide marketing insights to the organization and where consensus exists, deploy marketing initiatives that promote the company’s profile in the industry
- Understand the operating software (Epicor) and leverage improvements in cost and / or customer experience through the utilization of software
- This is done in collaboration with others
- Provide development paths and plans for direct reports that align with the company’s strategy

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Cold calling, generating RFQs, visiting customers, negotiating prices, sample deliveries, quality characteristics of the parts
- Provide managerial support to direct supports on a day to day basis, but also through annual performance planning and measurement of performance
- Lead the revenue planning function on a quarterly and annual basis
- Contribute to the Leadership Team on new business opportunities and report at the LT on a monthly basis
- Maintain the company’s website

**EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**
- Engineering degree or diploma in material science, mechanical or electrical engineering
- Critical thinking skills to analyze data, to provide solutions to others where required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Software skills in MS Office
- Skills with simulation software would be an asset (Ansys)
- Travel is required - approx. 25% of the month visiting customers in regional markets

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $79,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
