Smitty’s Fine Furniture is a third-generation family-owned local furniture store specializing in Canadian-made quality furniture. Our passion is exceptional customer experience in every aspect of our business. For nearly 75 years, Smitty’s has been a trusted name in home furnishings in Southern Ontario. We value our loyal customer base, as well as our deeply experienced staff, some of whom have been on our team for decades. Our original location was based in Hanover, Ontario, and we are currently operating from two locations: Hanover and Kitchener.

Our approach to the market with our primary line of business is to promote and sell the top furniture and mattress brands manufactured in Canada. The majority of our product displayed on the floor is made in Canada. Our logo says it all“FOR THE LOVE OF CANADIAN FURNITURE”.

**About the Position**

The Front Desk Reception supports the team in ensuring that every customer who enters the store is given the best possible customer experience by providing support with the showroom.

**This position is parttime position**

*** MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS**

**Your primary responsibilities will be**:

- Providing furniture pick up and transfer when needed
- Moving and placing furniture in the showroom
- Minor maintenance and repairs as needed in showroom
- Furniture assemble
- Other store operational support as needed

**Your** Education, Skills, and Experience**:

- Completion of high-school and or college certificate or diploma
- 1+ years of experience in a suppport or maintenance role
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills,
- Excellent communication (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail
