**Overview**

**Stellar Commercial Contracting**, a division of Stellar Homes, build a select number of commercial and light industrial projects each year in the Stony Pain, Spruce Grove and Edmonton area. Our team have over 30 years of experience in the management, development, and construction of a wide variety of commercial properties.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable **Experienced Construction Site Assistant** to join our team. You will oversee on-site construction activities and assist in ensuring construction follows established design and quality. You also enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.

**Duties**
- Assist in the preparation and cleanup of job sites, ensuring all materials and tools are organized and accessible.
- Support skilled tradespeople with tasks.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- The ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Help with loading and unloading materials from vehicles, maintaining an efficient workflow on-site.
- Follow instructions from the Site Superintendent to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and regulations.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and any challenges
- Overseeing on-site construction throughout the building process.
- Able to pay attention to details.
- Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.

**Experience**
- At least 5+ years experience in a commercial construction environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Fall Protection certification would be preferred
- Knowledge and experience is safety aspects while working in commercial construction setting
- Self-directed individual, who follows direction while leading by example
- Must have First Aid skills and/or certificates.
- Must have reliable transportation. **Truck is preferred.**:

- May be trained to operate a Skidsteer, Zoom Boom and or a Manlifts.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary

**Work Conditions**
- You primarily work on-site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Travel to the office or other site locations is required. Overtime may occasionally be required.

**This position is available immediately.**

**Reports to**: Site Superintendent

**Based at**: Stony Plain, Alberta Office

**Position Type**:Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
