**About Us**

We are currently seeking skilled and motivated **Water & Sewer Workers**—including both **labourers and equipment operators**—to join our team in Stony Plain, AB.

**Position Overview**

Water & Sewer Workers are responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground water and sewer infrastructure. This includes both hands-on labour in trenches and safe operation of heavy equipment to support project completion.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Labourers**
- Assist with installation of water mains, sanitary and storm sewer systems.
- Perform trench work, shoring, and pipe laying under the direction of supervisors.
- Cut, join, and align pipes and fittings according to specifications.
- Backfill and compact soil around pipe systems.
- Assist with grade checking and pipe laser setup.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean jobsite.
- Provide support to operators and other crew members as required.

**Operators**
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers for trenching, backfilling, and material handling.
- Excavate trenches to proper depth and slope while protecting existing utilities.
- Load, move, and place materials efficiently and safely.
- Work closely with ground crews to ensure accurate pipe installation.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and production.

**Qualifications & Requirements**

**General**:

- Previous experience in water and sewer installation or civil construction preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Physically fit with ability to perform manual labour in trench and ground conditions.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (clean abstract preferred).
- Safety tickets an asset (First Aid, CSTS, Ground Disturbance, Confined Space, WHMIS).

**For Operators**:

- Minimum 2 years experience operating heavy equipment in underground utility or earthworks projects.
- Ability to read grade stakes, plans, and work with pipe lasers.
- Proven ability to work safely around labour crews and in tight spaces.
