As the Inventory Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support with designing and developing analytics solutions, focusing on data integrity and end-user experience, with the goal of supporting the financial success of a complex merchandise planning an inventory management environment. Led by the Manager, Inventory Operations, this position will best suit a result oriented, creative thinker, with the ability to see the big picture.

- Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver consistent analytics, reports and dashboards leveraged by the department, using DAX calculations with a high degree of proficiency.
- Ensure daily/weekly/monthly operational activities are completed and troubleshoot when required, including assessing, and resolving database and dashboard system interruptions in and outside of core hours.
- Develop and conduct both remote & onsite training sessions with managers and front-line end users.
- Produce, analyze, and manage reports and tools to support the inventory planning and forecasting process with a view to total sales, receipts, inventory, and margin, using various software platforms (i.e., Power BI Desktop, Excel, Discoverer, Cognos, RMS, HH1, Blueridge, etc.).
- Work with internal IT and external partners for technical solutions design, configuration, integration, automation, customization, testing and ongoing support.
- Identify and support the creation of customized solutions to enhance performance.
- Develop and execute user test scripts and implementation plans for updates and upgrades for both Inventory Operational and Planning systems.
- Act as a conduit between the business and IT and participate in internal cross functional projects for testing and ensure that end to end testing is complete and accurate.
- Collaborate with Planning, Replenishment and Operation teams to support Category Management objectives. Ensure consistency of information and share best practices.
**We’re looking for**:
- A college diploma in Information Technology, Accounting, or relevant program. Along with 5-10 years of working experience in a similar field.
- Strong technical aptitude, with expertise in the following software programs: Power BI Desktop, advanced Excel, Discoverer, Cognos, RMS, HH1, EEM/WMS, Blueridge, POS Data Cube.
- The ability to write and understand Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
- Experience with data mining, predictive analytics, and big data, is considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization and time-management skills. Proven track record for working with competing priorities and meeting strict deadlines.
- Experience working on small to larger business/systems projects, while meeting time and quality standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical environment with ever evolving user needs.
- Understanding of financial reporting.
- The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
