Logistics & Inventory Specialist

The Logistics & Inventory Specialist will play an integral role in our supply chain department.
Serving as the key lead for the distribution of products, the Logistics & Inventory Specialist will be responsible for outbound order processing and analyzing inventory demands. This position will work closely with Operations, Warehouse and Customer Service.

Order Processing:

- Daily order processing (25-200 orders a day)
- Obtain shipping quotes, process routing requests, schedule carriers, prepare shipping documents
- Processing ASN’s and all tracking inquires
- Manager back orders, communicating related information to customers accordingly
- Key liaison between Napier and all 3PL warehouses
- Process invoices and payments
- Verify shipping and warehousing invoices for accuracy
- Manage all aspects of EDI including requirements, implementation and maintenance
- Process RMA requests, coordinate the return of goods, process return credits and inventory; analyze return rates

Inventory:

- Monitor inventory levels, assist in the development of inventory forecasts
- Conduct weekly inventory reports, counts and resolve discrepancies
- Analyze inventory levels for transfer, prepare transfers and documentation, schedule freight
- Prepare inventory analysis reports, overages or shortcoming reports, turn rates etc.
- Control and maintain inventory for office supplies, warehouse supplies, product prototypes, QC and event samples
- Review product inspection reports for accuracy. Obtain production samples and review for accuracy. For non-complying items, determine root causes and corrective actions, work with management to resolve issues.

Other:

- Administer, monitor, and report on key customer vendor compliance programs
- Manage warehouse order processing manuals, process flow charts; train warehouse staff on order requirements
- Research, propose and negotiate transportation options, timing and costs
- Assist with process improvements & cost saving initiatives
- Answer consumer inquiries via phone
- Assist in processing in processing returns and warranty claims

EXPEREINCE & TALENTS
- Must be detail oriented, analytical and excellent problem solver
- 3+ years of supply chain or administrative experience
