**Job Description**:
Reporting to the CEO of Canada, the Vice President of HR serves as the strategic HR business partner to the CEO of Canada and the executive team (CLT), assisting and enabling the CLT drive a transformation agenda for the Country to unlock Canada’s people and culture potential.

This role will execute the global, region and country people strategy that enables Sodexo Canada to build and develop a diverse, high-performing workforce that is ready and committed to helping Sodexo achieve its mission. The key areas of focus include:

- Overseeing the execution of the Employee Value Propostion (EVP) for employees to Belong, Act and Thrive
- Stewarding an inclusive environment where Sodexo’s values of Team, Progress and Service Spirit are embodied every day.

The HR VP of Canada will also report functionally to the North America Region SVP of Human Resources and serve as a member of the region HR Leadership Team.

**How You’ll Make an Impact**:

- Work closely with the Country CEO and other members of the Canada Leadership Team to drive the overall vision and mission and strategy of Sodexo.
- Partner with the Canada Leadership Team to build comprehensive strategic workforce plans, and then translate these needs into a concrete HR strategy to deploy sound and forward-thinking HR policies, practices, and programs.
- Accountable for the HR function, strategy and delivery focused on Attracting, Retaining, Developing the best talent and oversee and guide the deployment of Sodexo’s values, mission and culture.
- Lead and manage the HR function including Payroll, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Claims, Employee Experience, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Time and Attendance, Compliance, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and Human Capital Management systems.
- Be the guardian of our commitment to fair employment standards (i.e., Vita), pay equity and all other legal and ethical requirements.
- Manage, optimize and control the HR function budget.
- Be fully committed to our corporate social responsibility mission through active participation and leadership in our DE&I EBRGs and our Stop Hunger Foundation activities.
- Establish and manage highly integrated talent processes, including performance management, talent development, succession planning, and total rewards programs.
- Leverages Sodexo’s DEI best practices internally to enable Sodexo Canada to serve as a role model in terms of cultivating respect, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
- Maintain a pulse on the organization, regularly seeking employee perspectives and providing insight to leadership on ways to improve the overall employee experience.
- Develop and manage leadership development strategy that helps strengthen the leadership skills of current leaders; execute tactics to help increase the effectiveness of the leadership team.
- Defines and tracks appropriate measures to evaluate the health of the organization and success of people-focused initiatives. Accountable for driving performance to agreed upon KPIs.
- Oversees outsourced HR processes and managed vendors.
- Manages and resolves employee relations issues and conducts effective and thorough investigations, as required.
- Serve as a member of the North America Regional HR Leadership Team to help drive the global and regional people strategy across Canada.
- Serve as a representative for the company at industry and other events and conferences, establishing relationships with key stakeholders and thought leaders.
- Demonstrates strong leadership and commitment to safety.
