We are seeking a dispatcher to join our team at Vavaa Distribution Ltd.
We are a growing organization and currently looking for a passionate and motivated Dispatcher to join our team.
Key Job Duties:

- Using Global Positioning Systems (GPS) to monitor the location of the drivers
- Relaying information to customers for delays and shipment changes
- Dealing with conflict and being able to solve it quickly
- Sending rosters to drivers everyday and weekly to confirm their shifts.
- Assigning Routes to drivers
- Load Out
- On Road Support
- Ensuring drivers follow company's safety standards
- Maintaining Inventory - gas card, phones, uniforms etc.
- Handling delivery van issues and van maintenance
- Incident Reporting
- Time Management
- Ensuring drivers seldom go into overtime.
- Creating reports at the end of shifts
- Other duties assigned by management as needed

Qualifications:

- Extensive knowledge of the Lower Mainland's geography is required.
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license
- High school diploma
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Active listener with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of basic computer programs and aptitude to learn new software systems
- Ability to multi-task and keep track of delivery times for troubleshooting.
- Previous customer service experience is an asset
- Previous dispatch experience an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of GPS systems and geography
- Ability to resolve conflict and solve problems
- Sound judgement and critical thinking

Employment Type: Full Time
Shifts: Morning | 9am to 5:30pm
Afternoon | 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Salary : $25 an hour
