We are an independent consultancy in Vancouver British Columbia, specializing in epidemiology, evidence synthesis, and health economics, with a particular focus on creating customized solutions to best meet our clients’ diverse needs. Our team comprises epidemiologists, health economists, statisticians, and IT specialists. Our projects are led by senior team members with extensive experience across a wide range of HEOR studies. We have an extensive network of external academic and clinical experts who collaborate on studies that lie within their core areas of expertise. We are looking to hire an experienced research scientist to support a wide variety of research projects with specific focus on evidence synthesis projects.

We are looking to hire an experienced research analyst to support systematic reviews, and a wide variety of other health economic and epidemiologic research projects.

This is a permanent full-time position.

Responsibilities include:

- Contributing to design, protocol development and implementation of systematic literature reviews (SLR)
- Strong skills developing literature searches in Medline, EMBASE, and Cochrane databases will be considered an asset
- Take responsibility for various SLR-related tasks (abstract review, data extraction)
- Contributing to the conduct of meta-analyses and network meta-analyses (NMA):

- Communicating the results, through slide deck development, report writing and contributing to scientific publications
- Potentially (based on skillset and interests), also contributing to:

- Epidemiologic study design and models
- Economic models
- Statistical analysis and data visualization (dependent on experience and training)
- General research support
- Assisting with client communications

**Education**:

- MSc or PhD in epidemiology, health economics, statistics, or public health; or equivalent experience

**Experience**:

- 2-4 years of health research experience in a consultancy (ideal) or academic work environment
- Experience with SLR
- Experience with at least one of observational studies, statistics, or economic models is desired
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Strong independent working skills
- Organizational, multi-tasking and problem solving skills, with the ability to work independently within a team environment as well as the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint is required

**Location**:

- This position is for Toronto, Ottawa or Vancouver (but remote is also possible).

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
