**Legal Administrative Assistant**

**About the Role**:
Excel Group Inc. is seeking a Legal/Administrative Assistant who will perform a wide range of administrative duties for the effective and efficient day-to-day operation reporting directly to the owner and CEO, including providing administrative support to management level staff, and coordinating various day-to-day functions and related legal projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepares and processes a variety of documents including forms, statements and/or legal documents. Prepares correspondence and confidential documents.
- Exercise’s caution and discretion with, personnel, legal proceedings dealing with employment issues, company related information and other confidential information. Types of correspondence including that of a confidential nature, such as disciplinary letters, legal opinions relating to employment law, corporate and real estate law.
- Opens, reviews, and distributes correspondence and follows up on responses.
- Maintains filing and retrieval systems for various records/documents. Ensures required documentation is distributed to appropriate personnel.
- Drafts routine correspondence such as, letters, presentations, documents etc.
- Co-ordinate’s meetings, appointments. Compile’s material, prepares agenda and takes and transcribes minutes, as required.
- Maintains supplies for the unit. Orders and checks the delivery of office equipment, supplies, publications, etc. and maintains same.
- Any ad hoc duties as requested by the CEO and other managerial staff and as the business units require.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3 years in the performance of legal and administrative support duties to executive management team, handling a broad range of administrative matters, standard office practices and procedures.
- Must be a graduate of a recognized Legal Secretarial or Law Clerk Program from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- Can deal with pressure in a calm manner, as well as changing priorities and multi-tasking, and be open to constructive feedback and learning and employing new concepts and work styles.
- General knowledge of court forms, court processes and procedures, and the Rules of Civil Procedure is an asset but is not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.

**Working Environment**
- Regular hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm, however some flexibility is required based on CEO/ business needs.
- Location: 536 Kipling Ave, Etobicoke, ON
