**JOB TITLE**:
Food Production Worker/Meat Handler

**DEPARTMENT**:
Meat

**REPORTS TO**:
Meat Department Supervisor

**OVERVIEW**:
Made-Rite Meat Products Inc was founded in 1995. The company's line of business includes the manufacturing of Jerky and Co-packers of Pepperoni snacks. We believe in providing our customers with products of the highest quality made by a selection of trusted brands including Grimm’s Fine Foods, McSweeney’s Premium Jerky and Meat Snacks.

**OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE**:
**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Transport meat to various locations within the plant
- Unpacking meat
- Meat stuffing
- Preparing recipes
- Load and unload meat from food processing equipment
- Operate food processing equipment.
- Clean and sanitize all tools and equipment used in food production.
- Maintain and upkeep sanitation equipment.
- Mix and dispense cleaning chemicals, detergents, and sanitizers.
- Assist on other duties as required.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ability to withstand cold temperatures as the plant is refrigerated.
- Ability to stand, bend, and reach for long periods of time.
- Heavy lifting required - **must be able to lift 50 pounds.**:

- Ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be success-driven and have a “can do” attitude.
- Must have reliable transportation as we are not on a bus route.
- Experience in the food or meat processing industries considered an asset.
