**JOB TITLE**:
SANITATION WORKER

**REPORTS TO**:
Production Manager

**OVERVIEW**:
Made-Rite Meat Products Inc was founded in 1995. The company's line of business includes the manufacturing of Jerky and Co-packers of Pepperoni snacks. We believe in providing our customers with products of the highest quality made by a selection of trusted brands including Grimm’s Fine Foods, McSweeney’s Premium Jerky and Meat Snacks.

**OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE**:
Made-Rite is currently looking a night shift Sanitation Worker.

**Evening shift: 7:00 pm to 3:30 am (start time is flexible)**

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Remove production waste, trash, and recycling from the plant
- Clean, sanitize and maintain the production areas, non-production areas, and storage areas of the manufacturing plant, including floors, drains, and walls.
- Ensure cleaning chemicals and equipment are checked, maintained, and available in sufficient quantities, and use and store according to regulations
- Mix and dispense cleaning chemicals, detergents, and sanitizers
- Perform lockout/tagout procedures as required
- Dismantle, clean, sanitize, and re-assemble food processing machinery
- Operates cleaning equipment, such as pressure sprayer hose/nozzle, electric floor scrubber, etc.
- Clean and sanitize tools and equipment used in food production
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including GMP’s, SOP’s, and all Health and Safety Rules and Regulations
- Other duties as required

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ability to withstand cold temperatures as plant is refrigerated
- Ability to stand, bend, and reach for long periods of time
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
- Must be able to follow instructions, work in cooperation with others, & must be attentive to detail to ensure accuracy of work assignments
- Must have reliable transportation as we are not on a bus route
- Knowledge of GMP’s and HACCP principles is preferred
- Experience in the food or meat processing industries considered an asset
