Maintenance Supervisor

**OVERVIEW**:
Made-Rite Meat Products was founded in 1995. The company's line of business includes the manufacturing of Jerky and Co-packers of Pepperoni snacks. We believe in providing our customers with products of the highest quality made by a selection of trusted brands including Grimm’s Fine Foods, McSweeney’s Premium Jerky and Meat Snacks.

Shift: - Days or Afternoons

**OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE**

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all production and packaging equipment
- Handle day-to-day trouble shooting on processing, packaging, and auxiliary equipment of plant
- Maintain open, accurate communication with other maintenance employees as well as production, QC, and safety management
- Provide all information necessary to maintain proper parts inventories
- Work with production teams to identify process improvements wherever possible
- Work to maximize plant efficiencies, reduce costs, and maintain product quality
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions
- Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Basic welding skills
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards, maintain sanitary conditions
- Other duties as required.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician preferred; 3rd year apprentice considered
- 5+ years’ experience in a maintenance role within a food manufacturing environment is desirable
- Must be able to communicate in English both oral and written
- Excellent in diagnosing and problem solving
- Food industry experience is an asset
- PLC training experience is an asset
- Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills
- High level of self motivation, initiative, and flexibility
- Ability to work independently and within a team
