We have provided professional project, advisory project & construction management services for some of Nova Scotia’s largest and most complex construction and engineering projects.

We are growing and seeking the right Junior Construction Manager to join our team.

About the position:
This is an exciting opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in supporting the Construction Manager and Superintendent alongside a team of professionals, delivering projects on time, within budget, and with a high-quality outcome.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Create/Maintain cash flow analysis reports for multiple projects.
- Monitor, interpret and forecast project costs to ensure they are in line with the budget.
- Work with clients to define the purpose, risks, and financial basis for the project.
- Assist in developing the construction plan which defines scope, describes responsibilities, establishes schedule, and confirms the budget constraints related to the project.
- Manage health and safety on active construction sites.
- Through collaboration, provide assistance from pre-construction to occupancy.
- Provide oversight to the change management process, payment certificates and other contract or project related administrative documents.
- Provide feedback on quality, schedule, and budget throughout the design process.
- Select and organize trade contractors.
- Participate in teams per the established levels of authority and lines of communication.
- Review invoices and prepare financial submissions as required.
- Report regularly on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records, and status reports.
- Assist with construction meetings and prepare meeting minutes with internal and external parties.
- Document the decision process and communicate to the entire team at appropriate times to maintain consistency.
- Proactively monitor projects to advise of activities or tasks that require or may require review.

**Required Skills**:

- experience managing project budgets is an asset.
- Architectural, engineering or construction certifications are an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional communication skills are a must; written and verbal.
- Advanced technical knowledge and organizational skills.
- Entrepreneurial mind-set: identify tasks and opportunities to excel.
- Being a self-starter who is responsible and dependable is essential to the role.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
