Our well established limousine company located in Vancouver is looking for a dispatcher for full or part time.
This position is fast-paced and will involve coordinating with drivers, entering reservations, taking phone calls from clients, affiliates, drivers etc.
- Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities in the department.
- Provide quotes, enter bookings into our reservation system and to look up details of existing reservations
- Communicate with drivers to ensure constant status and location.
- Communicate through a multi-line phone system to assist both drivers and customers.
- Use computer programs to locate vehicles, track airline flights, review limousine reservations, find addresses and map driving routes.
- Prioritize customer reservations and dispatches.
- Troubleshoot complex problems and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Answer incoming calls and assist when necessary or direct calls to appropriate areas.
Job Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Attention to detail, with emphasis on accuracy, quality, and completeness.
- Ability to multi-task and set appropriate priorities under stress.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be a team player and have the ability to maintain tact, grace, and diplomacy in all situations
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills and programs including Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to effectively and clearly communicate in English, both written and orally.
- Be able to work well and effectively under high stress.
Our office is located within walking distance (about a 5 minute walk) of the Main Street skytrain station in an industrial area.
